Takeuchi has added a 3.5-ton compact excavator to its popular line of TB excavators. The TB235-2 shares the same design concept as the TB230, TB240 and TB260 models.
Equipped with a Tier 4 Final 24.4-hp engine, the TB235 provides excellent working range and performance for general contractors, landscapers and utility contractors. Rental houses will also see demand for these versatile machines in their fleet.
The TB235 has an operating weight of 7,418 pounds and maximum reach of 17 feet-3-inches. The dig depth is just under 10-feet-8 inches, and the excavator brings 9,127 pounds of breakout force.
A spacious operator’s station with an automotive-styled interior is standard and provides excellent visibility. The operator’s suspension seat has multiple adjustments, and the pilot controls are precise and low-effort to prevent operator fatigue. The station’s multi-information display allows operators to monitor the machine’s health and condition.
With the optional climate-controlled cab Takeuchi offers, operators can work comfortably year-round in any weather.
All TB235s are also equipped with the Takeuchi Fleet Management (TFM) telematics system to monitor machine location, health, condition and run time. The system also allows remote connection to maintenance data, so technicians can perform remote diagnostics and schedule maintenance. Owners find the telematics system helps to limit downtime and control costs. Takeuchi provides free TFM access for the first two years of ownership.
The machine is built for long-term durability with all-steel construction, including a heavy-duty steel boom with well-protected hoses and a cylinder guard.
Access to daily maintenance is easy, thanks to large access panels that remove so you can reach check points.
With its compact size and ability to dig offset on either side without repositioning, the TB235 is an excellent choice when working in tight spaces.
